Helpful Tips
Regular exercise, watching ones body
weight, proper leg elevation, and
wearing compression garments
are all essential in the
return of
venous blood from the ankle
back to the heart.
Excessive heat tends to dialate
veins making the varicose veins,
ankles
and leg swelling worse.
Try to avoid hot showers
or hot baths,
sunbathing
or spa tanning.
Remember
to wash your garments
after every use. Washing brings
back the
compression to the
material and will help decrease
snags and rips. Wash
them by
hand using a
special washing solution
& let them
drip dry.
Do not put them
in the dryer.
